Status: In Progress
i’m developing a system that allows me to do 80% of my work inside a single tool: Visual Studio Code. Yes, the same development environment that programmers use, but remixed for knowledge work, project management, and AI-powered productivity.
The system uses VS Code with a modified PARA folder structure (Projects, Areas, Resources, Archives, plus my own “Agents” folder) where everything lives in Markdown files.
The real magic happens with what I call “no-code AI agents”—specialized prompts saved as Markdown files that act like reusable team members.

Key Highlights
Core System Components:
- PARA+ Method: Projects, Areas, Resources, Archives + custom “Agents” folder
- Markdown Files: Everything stored as .md files that AI can read and edit like code
- VS Code Copilot: Built-in AI chat with multiple models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)
- Agent Mode: AI thinks through problems step-by-step, then executes
Desired Outcomes
- Eliminate context switching between 10+ different tools
- Create reusable AI “team members” without coding
- Make all AI interactions contextually aware of your work
- Scale creative capabilities through intelligent automation
The Future of Work
I believe this represents the future of work—maybe not in this exact form factor, but in this integration of documents, AI, and chat into a unified workspace. We’re moving toward environments where:
- Your work context travels with you
- AI agents become specialized team members
- Knowledge compounds automatically
- Creative and analytical work merge seamlessly
